The impetus to attend Washington State University began with the desire to become a Vet. Many of the Veterinarians I had worked with recommended WSU. As mentioned before some of my early work as a Veterinarian Assistant eventually steered me away from this pursuit. Though my goal had shifted, the biological sciences remained paramount to my focus. I pursued an Anatomy/Physiology focus with pre-vet still as the assigned major. As the courses were met for the major I fell in love with "all things small" . I loved chemistry, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and cellular biology and genetics. Many of these courses where piled onto the end of my time at WSU. These final courses played a huge role in the direction I took in my career.
